CHRISTMAS ISN’T CANCELLED

In spite of our best efforts at efficiency, much of our time is spent waiting. Some years, it feels like we spend all 365 days in a waiting game. This four-week series examines four common life experiences that test our patience and threaten to take away the joy that comes with the gospel story. Whether it’s heading off to college, getting married, waiting for Christmas morning, or the birth of a child, we find ourselves longing for the big event. Christmas reminds us that God is at work even in the struggle and beauty of life. Despite difficult circumstances, Christmas isn’t and will never be, cancelled.

lent: The power of the gospel

This six-week series for Ash Wednesday and the Sundays in Lent celebrates the power of the gospel by lifting up some of the key ways Jesus demonstrated his power during his lifetime. By healing, forgiving, raising a child from the dead, walking on water, and exorcising a demon, Jesus declares himself the Son of God and prepares us to witness with fresh eyes his greatest power on Easter morning: his power over life and death for all time and all people. Our own power to believe and thrive in faith grows as we tap into the power he repeatedly demonstrates.
